Required Reading Eight Different Trails available for Shiloh Military Trail Hikers

1. Submit Page 2 before you hike the trail. (order needed Reading Material -- at least 3 weeks before hike date). Print Hiking instructions and Maps from the Web Pages.

2. Send in Page 3 To order various awards earned by qualifying hikers who have met all specified requirements to be entitled to such. (send completed credential cards for each hiker to qualify for the award).

Materials will be mailed when payment is received.

Fill in this form completely and mail to Trail Committee AT LEAST 3 WEEKS BEFORE HIKING DATE to allow time for special reading material to be received by you.

The trail may be hiked anytime during the daylight hours. The Park Visitors' Center is closed only Christmas Day and New Year's Day.

Be sure to order all required reading material for the various hikes your group plans to take in time for hikers to read such before hiking. Each hiker must read the specified reading material. (Purchase not required.)

Each group hiking the Shiloh Military Trail must agree to abide by all rules and regulations of the Park and Trail Committee.

Each hiking group must always be under adequate and competent adult leadership. At least one adult for each ten hikers is recommended. Scout groups should secure a Tour Permit from their local Council Office before hiking.

Do Not remit for any awards until after your group has hiked and have met all specified requirements for such awards.

You must read extra reading materials and enclose all credential cards with your order request.  

Please read these notes carefully before submitting order form:

• Recommended minimum age for Shiloh Military Trails awards is 11; for hiking the treks, 7
• The hiker must complete the ENTIRE trail on foot to qualify for an award. The hiker must also have completed the required reading and other specified requirements for awards ordered.
• Completed credential forms must accompany orders for awards. Answer all questions on front and back sides. Both hiker and leader must sign credential cards.
• The Credential form has all the requirements for each hike.
